Robert K. Black

Robert K. "Bobby" Black 56, of Avon, passed away on Feb. 4, 2011 in I.U. Health West in Avon. He was born on Feb. 19, 1954 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Rae A. and Wilma Jean Stickler Black. He married Susan King on August 24, 1973 in Indianapolis, IN, she survives. Bobby was a mailman for speedway post office for 28 years retiring in 2010. He was a 35 + year member of the nhra and a member of the Avon Christian Church. Calling hours will be on Tuesday Feb. 8, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral services will be on Wednesday Feb. 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Carolyn Scanlon and Rev. Steve Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Susan; sons, Robby and Danny Black; brother, Mike Black and Bobby's dog Flash.
