Michael Wanser Obituary

Michael Anthony Wanser

"Iron Man Michael" 6 of Zionsville, received his angel wings after an 11 month battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Michael loved being a big brother, playing with his friends, WWE wrestling, Indy Car racing, legos, and playing video games. He also liked playing soccer, flag football, and doing trampoline and tumbling gymnastics. He will always be remembered for his faith, courage, strength and playful spirit.

Michael is survived by his loving family, parents, Barry and Laurie Wanser; little brother, Robert Wanser; grandparents, Gordon and Eleanor Wanser (Whitestown, NY), and Robert J. Roberts and Maureen Moore (Deerfield Beach, FL); uncles, John Roberts, Gordon Wanser, John Ferrier and Thomas Struk; aunts, Kathleen Ferrier, Mary Struk, Lori Roberts, and Jenn Guittare; and cousins, Dylan Ferrier, Tyler Roberts, Jordan Ferrier, Courtney Roberts, Cooper Wickham, and Riley Wanser.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jeannette Roberts and uncle, Kenneth Wanser.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 27 and Friday, October 28 from 2 - 8 PM at the Aaron Ruben Nelson Mortu ary, 11411 N. Michigan Rd. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 10 AM at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Zionsville with celebrant, Father Dennis O'Keeffe. Burial will follow in Zionsville Cemetery.

Memphis, TN 38101-9950.

Lori, Michael's battle is done and he doesn't have to fight any more. You have my deepest sympathy at the loss of your little guy. May your family and friends be your support in the days to come. Many prayers go your way and remember, Michael said he would be watching. Faith is a wonderful thing. God's blessing on you and all the family.
