AS a young DJ at WIRE Radio, I met Michiko. She listened to my evening program and painted a picture of a bluejay which she gifted to me. One evening she called me to ask my favorite flower and I said a yellow rose. Before long I had a framed watercolor of the most beautiful yellow rose. Michiko would call my 7-Up Request Line and request Bobby Bare's "500 Miles Away From Home" as it reminded her of her home in Japan. I was so honored to have called her my listener and friend and so sad to read this obituary. If only she knew how often I think of her....only every day when I see her art hanging in my house 45 years later. Thank you and God Bless.

I was very saddened to hear of Michiko's passing. We were great friends at many art events and shows along with her husband Al. I have a watercolor of hers hanging in my studio. I had lost touch with her and am very sorry to find out about her passing. I will miss her humbleness and beautiful artwork.
