Miss Wilson was my third grade teacher at Newby Elementary School in Speedway. She was my favorite teacher of all times. She is one of the reasons that I spent my life as a teacher. She also was my son's teacher in both kindergarten and first grade. To this day we still talk about her impact on us in so many ways. She was everything a great teacher should be. She was kind, smart, patient, understanding, caring and always encouraging her students do their best. We kept in contact with her over the years and we will miss her. We will make a donation to Scholarships for Speedway in her memory. I am certain that she is still teaching in heaven.

Aunt Margaret, how I love you. I write this with sadness and a heavy heart. I’m sure you and mom are having a party! My love for you is endless and forever.
You taught me to stand on my own two feet and be a strong woman. Your guidance lives on in my two girls who love you and have great memories of you. Your strength lives on in them.
I regret not spending more time with you, but distance can do that to us as humans.
I love you, and you live on through those of us who were honored to have had you touched our hearts.

I had Miss Wilson for 3rd grade at Newby and delivered the newspaper to the house where she lived on Beeler Avenue. I often wondered what happened to her, little did I know that she was still with us. Here's to her glorious life and the wonderful and lasting impact she had on her students from Speedway Indiana. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Margaret was a very special friend to our family as was her mother. She always had time for us, even my grandchildren. She will always have a special spot in my heart.

Great Aunt Margaret was kind, caring and intelligent. I remember her quizzing me on spelling over the phone, and always taking time to talk with me and take interest in my life when we were together. We will miss you Great Aunt Margaret.

Margaret was my Aunt and took care of me for many summers on the farm in Wolcott, IN. She taught me important skills including how to shoot a gun, drive a car, poison gophers and pick and shuck sweet corn. Aunt Margaret doted on her nieces and nephews, providing games and fun activities to keep us entertained. Caring and generous, she was always ready to share what she had. Whenever you talked to Aunt Margaret she was curious and interested in where you were, what you were doing and how life was treating you. I will remember her as an independent woman who loved learning and exploring. You will be missed dear Aunt Margaret.

Miss Wilson was my teacher at the Newby Elementary School in Speedway during my third grade year in 1956-57. I always considered her o to be one of by favorite teachers growing up. I am sorry that we never reconnected after my school years. I know she is and will be missed by many of my fellow Sparkplugs. Rest well Miss Wilson, I'm sure you will teach them a thing or two up there.

Margaret was a great friend of both mine and my family. My dad, Roger Dean, was the pastor at John Knox Presbyterian Church and Margaret was a dear friend of our family. She was always there for my mom who loved her dearly, and she was a friend to me giving me a painting job one summer in early 80's when I was in college and needed the summer work. She also, gave me a $1500 loan when I graduated college in '83 and took me a while but got her paid back. I know she taught thousands of kids during her many decades of teaching service in Speedway and influenced a lot of lives. She was a treasure on earth! Not many Margaret's like her come along, and we will sorely miss your energy and your goodness Margaret! Till We Meet Again!
