Gwendoline C. Cann, 99

Lynn - Gwendoline C. (Chambers) Cann, age 99 of Lynn, died peacefully with her daughter at her side on Friday May 21, 2021, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Fred Chandler.

Born in Embden, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Leona (Tripp) Chambers. She had lived in Lynn since 1983.

Gwendoline had worked as a health aid for Allston Health Care for many years, and had also worked at the Senior Center at GLSS for 11 years. She was a member of Bethany Congregational Church, Lynn, and of the Church's Ladies Guild.

She is survived by her daughter Joyce Powell and her husband Michael of Lynn, 7 grandchildren; Rev. John Reddy III, Jason Reddy, Rev. Jeremy Reddy, Jeffrey Reddy, Wendy Caputo, Mary LoPresti, and Cindy DeGiacomo, 22 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Marion Fusaro, and Dale Newman, the sister of the late Priscilla Milburn, and the grandmother of the late Shelley Rasmussen.

Service Information: Visiting hours will be held on this Thursday May 27, 2021 from 3:00PM-5:00PM in the Solimine Funeral Home 426 Broadway (RTE129), Lynn. A Graveside Service will be held on the following Thursday June 3, 2021 at 1:00PM in North New Portland Cemetery, New Portland, Maine. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
