APRIL CARROLL JOHNSON
Apr. 13, 1962 - Dec. 24, 2013
April Carroll Johnson, 51, of Ramona, CA, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2013 after a hard-fought 4 year battle with appendiceal cancer.
April was born in Oxnard, CA on April 13, 1962. She graduated from El Centro High School in 1982 and attended Imperial Valley College. April was currently working for Legends Escrow services in Mission Valley and was a very well respected Certified Senior Escrow Officer, as well as an active member of The California Escrow Association. April touched many lives in her professional career and provided many with the training needed to sustain a career in Escrow. Her mentorship and Escrow knowledge will be greatly missed. April also enjoyed anytime spent at the beach, scuba diving, quilting, reading and camping. She also enjoyed traveling, her favorite destination being Hawaii, but anyplace near the ocean was fine by her.
April is survived by her husband of 22 years Martin (Marty) Johnson; his children Kevin Johnson (Colette) and Kara Johnson; April's son Luke Johnson (Christina); grandchildren Calvin, Paige, Zoe, Joshua, Anaya, Leilani, and family friend Morgan Henry, who was like a second daughter.
April is preceded in death by her Mother Nancy Riggs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in April's honor may be given to The Cabrillo Credit Union through Martin Johnson, into the April Johnson Memorial Fund. April's family wishes to thank Dr. Arsham (family doctor) of Ramona, Dr. Fanta and his entire team at Moore's Cancer Center for their tireless dedication to finding new treatments and working towards a cure for appendiceal cancer, the entire loving and caring Nursing Staff on 2E, at Thornton Hospital and finally, Elizabeth Hospice Center as they assisted in her final transition.
