Charles Anthony Gray (Tony) passed from this life peacefully at his home in Durant, OK, on April 17, 2025, at the age of 81. Tony was born on May 16, 1943, in Inglewood, California, to Harold Raymond Gray and Cynthia Alice Gray (Pickett). Tony graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1961. He married the love of his life, Janice Ann Gray (Webster), on December 21, 1968. Tony served in the Navy from 1962-1966. He fought in the Vietnam War and received the Navy Unit Commendation and the Air Medal Goldstar. He worked as a telephone technician for AT&T for 36 years. While attending the First Presbyterian Church, he worked with the youth group, played on the softball team, and helped on various projects to maintain the building. Tony and Janice were active in the lives of their grandchildren and were very proud of them.

In 2006, after retiring from the phone company, Tony and Janice moved to Durant, Oklahoma. He enjoyed TV, computer games, fishing, golfing and shooting. Tony was a proud veteran who loved his country and loved his family.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Gray and Cynthia Pickett Gray, and granddaughter, Nikki Dorame. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Ann Gray; daughter, Laurie Clancy (Daved) of Celest, TX; son, John Gray (Trisha) of Durant, OK; son, Harold Gray of Durant, OK; sister, Carol Webster (Bob) of Brawley, CA; brother, Larry Gray (Lenora) of Brawley, CA; brother, David Gray of AZ; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

An inurnment for Tony will be held on May 6, 2025, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m.
