Emma Escalante Obituary
EMMA ESCALANTE
Dec. 23, 1935- June 16, 2005
Emma Escalante, 69, of Imperial departed her friends and family on June 16.
Emma was born in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico on December 23, 1935. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Bros. Chapel in El Centro. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A mass will be celebrated to honor Emma's life at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in El Centro on Wednesday, June 22, at 9 a.m. She will be laid to rest following the services at Mt. View Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Angel and Elena Escalante.
Her survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Elena and Steve Johnson of Imperial, Esther and Rigo Lopez of El Centro; sons, Francisco and Alberto Terano of El Centro; sisters, Rosa Alegre of Escondido, Maria Lopez of Temecula, Yolanda Escalante of Chandler, Ariz., and Ana Davila of Tuscon, Ariz.; brothers, Jose Escalante of El Centro, Francisco Escalante of Escondido and Manuel Escalante of El Centro. She is also loved by 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 23 nieces and nephews.
