Lafayette - Jontae Billups - Brooks (AKA) J-Sizzle/Flee Boy John, 18, of Lafayette passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Franciscan Alliance East Hospital.
He was born February 25, 2000 in Gary, to Kufanyo Brooks and Rachelle Billups.
Jontae was a senior at The Excel Center. He loved music and playing basketball and football.
Along with his parents he is survived by siblings: Deonte Billups-Brooks, Keyonte Billups-Brooks, Jada Billups-Brooks and Jaelynn Billups; Donnie Molton, Brittany Molton and Montel Wilburn; paternal grandmother Pinkie Brooks-Jones (Gregory Jones), maternal grandmother Dehavilland Henia; aunts: Deloris Williams, Lachaundra Billups, Dehavilland Billups, Deloris Barber Billups, and Genesis Jones-Burris; uncles: Darren Davis, Jerome Davis, Ronald Davis, Donald Davis, William Andre Billups, Taroue Brooks, Tom Brooks, Gregory Jones II and Danjonas Jones; niece Zariah Billups; and two nephews Amari Stewart and Deonte Billups Jr. He is also survived by cousins; Kyresha Billups, Kyree Billups, Keondra Billups, Vernesha Billups, LaShanta Simpson, Lawrence Simpson, Araneecia Scheley, Kashawna Billups, Rhianna Billups Barber, Shalonda Schley, Rudolph Raquan Billups Schley, Jr., Akyra Williams, Cordarow Davis, Jr., Cordarow Davis, Jarmone Davis Keenan Davis, Eric Allen and a host of Cousins family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Rudolph Schley and Michael Hopkins and paternal grandfather Tom Brooks Sr.
Visitation will be held from 9AM - 11Am Saturday, December 1, 2018 at River City Church - 108 Beck Lane Lafayette, IN 47909. Funeral service will follow at 11AM with Reverend Jonathon Bohl officiating. Share memories and condolences online at www.hippensteelfuneralservice.com
