Richard Stomsky Obituary

Richard Stomsky, 63, of Enfield, beloved husband to Jacqueline Stomsky, entered into eternal peace on Friday, Dec. 25, 2020, at Hartford Hospital.

He was born on June 6, 1957, in Preston. Richard was raised in Enfield by the late Mary and Stanley Szymanski. He enjoyed a career for over 30 years as a pressman working with several printing companies including the Treasure Chest, the Journal Inquirer, and more recently with the Springfield Republican. He enjoyed fishing and hanging out at the river with his beloved four-legged companion, Jetta and vacationing in Newport, Rhode Island.

In addition to his loving wife of over 35 years, Jacqueline (Chagnon) Stomsky, Richard is survived by his brother, Stanley Szymanski and his wife, Deborah; his sisters, Sandra Beernaert and her husband, Michael, and Barbara Szymanski. He was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Russell. Richard is also survived by his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews; sisters-in-law, Debra Sima and Joy Kluss; and brothers-in-law, Todd Chagnon and Glenn Russell.

A graveside service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, at St. Patrick King Street Cemetery in Enfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
