He was born Nov. 6, 1940, to Edward A. Craugh and Margaret (Schwartz) Craugh in Syracuse, N.Y. Peter grew up in Worcester and Watertown, Mass. He graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Watertown. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1963, where he was also a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity. He obtained his master's degree in engineering science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1969. Peter also served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. Residing in Vernon, where he raised his family, he was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 30 years. After retirement and relocating to Madison, N.H., Peter became very involved in the community. He was very involved in the Village District of Eidelweiss, and on the town of Madison Zoning Board. Peter loved photography, computers, and had the ability to fix almost anything.

I worked with Peter on several fire investigations over the years. I new he was a fellow WPI grad, but did not know we belonged to the same fraternity (TKE). He was a great guy and a pleasure to work.

Dear Peter's family. I graduated from St. Pat's with Peter. He was always the gentleman; brilliant math and science student and willing to help those of us who were "math challenged." He was a great classmate. I last saw him at our reunion of the class of 1959. I know we will all miss him.
