Leonard Ouellette Obituary
He was born Aug. 3, 1922, in St. Francis, Maine, son of the late Willie and Neacy (Dube) Ouellette. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, and a communicant of St. Bernard Church.
Besides his wife, Vina, of 67 years, he is survived by his children, Carl Ouellette and his wife, Judy, of West Willington, Arlene Ouellette and her husband, Allen James, of Charlestown, Rhode Island, June Ouellette of Vernon, Paula Tardif of Vernon, Rolande "Penny" Motola and her husband, Brian, of Vernon, Lee-Ann Pelletier and her husband, Dave, of Windsor, Joyce Pouliot and her husband, Alan, of Ellington, and Lenny Ouellette and his wife, Anne Kutscher, of Tolland. He also leaves his brother, Aldeo Ouellette of Wallingford; his sister, Patsy Taggett of Fort Kent, Maine; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Herman Ouellette, Fern Ouellette; and sister, Mildred Bard.
Relatives and friends may join the family Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT 06066.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, Rockville. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Vernon.
