Walter was born in Milwaukee, WI, on February 12, 1924, to the late Walter and Anna (nee Maurer). He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, where he served with mom on various committees and programs. One of the proudest periods of his life was the 35 years (1949-1984) he was at Boys' Technical High School, where he served as a coach, educator, guidance counselor and administrator. Walter is preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Michelle, granddaughter Mary Grace, as well as his siblings and in-laws Virginia (Dusold) Flash, Audrey and Larry Coon, Howard Dusold, Harry and Jeanne Olstad, and Lyle Olstad. Walter will be missed by other relatives and good friends including special friends of the family; Cindy Kuzminski and Gloria Venski, Ken (Sara) Jaeger, the folks at Table Five at Howard Village, and his "SteakOut" family. In lieu of flowers, we ask that charitable contributions be made to Our Savior's Foundation, the Alzheimer's Association, The American Heart Association, or a charity of your choice. Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, from 4-7 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 3022 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, with a service to follow. A private burial will be held at Arlington Cemetery in Milwaukee. Nothing is ever lost or forgotten, because those who finish their last breath continue in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

My best recollection of Mr. Dusold as a Boys''Tech student was of a caring and dedicated coach and counselor. Besides Mr. Richardson and Mr. Budizch a great guy. Rest in Peace Mr. D,

December 7, 2011

I was a Tech freshman running down the hallway trying to find the the stairs so as to not be late for football practice when a booming voice asked me what my hurry was? I was obviously lost, Mr. Dusold then walked me to the locker room telling me about when he was a coach and giving me tips. I always admired his compassion and how he treated students. My prayers to the family.

Walt was truly one of our favorite people in all the world for the many years we have known and loved him. His ready smile and great (and sometimes sassy) sense of humor made him a treasure to know. We will always cherish the times we have spent with him and Marilyn.

As a novice assistant principal blessed to be assigned to the great Milwaukee Trade and Technical High School, Walt was my first greeter as I climbed the steps to enter my administrative university. His life was a testament to servant leadership. I still cherish his advice. respect and compassion he dispensed to thousands of children and to hundreds of teachers. his lovely wife,Marilyn, was a steward of trust and may she live with precious memories. He was one of the great guys and a Blues Brother who would say ?You can spit in the soup, but do not expect me to eat it.? God has a leader in heaven. Thank you for the lessons, Walt. Barry and family -

My thoughts and prayers to all of you at the passing of Walt. I remember the times when your dad would come next door to visit my mom Mary Jane at Howard Village and he always had a smile on his face. He was a good friend to my mom and I know he will definitely be missed. He's at peace now and in a much better place.

Mr. Dusold is one of my all time favorite educators. When I attended Tech it was Milwaukee Trade and Technical HS. He was a very kind hearted person, but still ruled with authority. We all respected him! I had a special seat in his office when he was Vice Principal. God Bless. Stephanie Huber

Rest in Peace, Walt. You touched many lives, and you will be remebered fondly.

September, 1960 - Mr. Dusold was my first contact with the teaching staff at Boys' Tech. The first lesson that he instilled was that we were no longer boys, but young men; and needed to act accordingly. I will always remember that day, Mr. Dusold, and his life lesson.

December 7, 2011

I remeber Mr. Dusold well from Boy's Tech, best teacher I ever had. He was not only fair but fun. One time we did a coin flop for a higher grade on a test, I won. He would remind you to behave or you would get his size 12 up you're back side if you didn't. He never need to as you respected him, as you should. One of a kind he was!

Rest in peace Mr.Dusold
