My belated sympathy to the Caufield family. I played with Wayne with the Milwaukee Admirals Oldtimers and also with the Milwaukee Wings in the Badger State Hockey league. Wayne was a gentleman, a great teammate and a wonderful person. I not only played for SHAW as a Canadian immigrant from 1969-1974, but also
coached the Midget Minor team while Wayne was coaching Paul. I admired him in so many ways.
I also noted that Wayne played for the Hamilton Red Wings,.... as did my father. So many memories, so much in common, so much sadness!!! He was a great man!

My deepest sympathies go out to Eileen and the rest of the family. Wayne and my dad played hockey together for many years and our families became life long friends. I was also coached up by Wayne in youth hockey, what a treat that was! Nothing but great memories of this wonderful man. He helped raise a great family and touched so many lives in a positive way. God bless and RIP Wayne. Love the photo!

So sorry to hear Eileen, Wayne will be missed by many. I always remember Wayne striking fear into other players, some of them in his own locker room.

We have truly been blessed by getting to know Wayne through the years as neighbors and good friends of Ryan and Rhiannon! His love for others was so apparent with his welcoming smile and gracious conversations that he had for everyone! His love for his wife, children and grandchildren spilled out in everything that he chose to do! We will miss his presence here, but will carry his love with us in our hearts until we meet again in Heaven!
