Giving her all for the Lord until the last day was the Irene we knew and loved dearly.
We will always have fond memories of the great times we enjoyed with Irene and Al when we went on the deacon retreats. We will see you again and will have so much to share.

We only met once, but her kindness and hospitality will not be forgotten. And these traits extend to her daughter, Patricia and her granddaughter, Elyse as well. Thanks to all of them for letting my wife and I come into their lives and talk Genealogy. For that, Irene Schmidt will live on within my family tree.

Ms Irene was truly a genuine Christian lady in all ways! Her generous heart, hugs and smiles certainly uplifted me on many occasions. Her never ending strength and tenacity when it came to teaching "those" boys...two of which were ours and what an impression she has made on them thoughout the years. We will miss you now, Irene, but have an Eternity to look forward to being together. We love you!

I was too old to be in Mrs Irene's Sunday school class when I first attended BDBC, but it was impossible to not be touched by her loving heart! She never failed to find you out to give you a hug when you were at church. She truly exuded the love of Jesus in everything she did! Her spunky attitude will be missed here but I can't wait to see her again where her body can keep up with her youthful spirit.
Love you Mrs Irene,
See ya later!

Mrs. Irene touched many peoples lives. I couldn't visit BDBC without saying "hi" and getting a hug from her. God blessed her with a love-filled life and she will never be forgotton. May the happy memories help the family through this undoubtedly tough time. She is with her beloved husband now in paradise. Love always, DeeDee Carr :-)

MRS. Irene was by far the most dedicated Sunday school teacher I have ever had. We see the fruit of her dedication in the lives of Christian Men and Women around the world who were influenced by her, and are continuing to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. It will be a great day when we get to see her again in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Mrs. Irene, see you later.

Mrs. Irene was a very strong influence on my life growing up. I have very fond memories of her leading R.A.s and of parties at her house playing Uno.

Mrs. Irene was one of my favorite people growing up....I can still remember her teaching us to make butter in Mission Friends, and all the times we had to learn a new song to sing. :) She truly had a heart of gold, and she will be greatly missed!!!!
