Richard Lardinois Obituary

Lardinois, Richard Wilfred Passed away on July 13, 2010. Just before his 92nd birthday, Richard joined his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Frances Marie and his siblings, Gladys and Harold in death. Survived by his second wife and faithful companion of 19 years, Jennie (nee Visintainer), by his children, Dick (Marge) Lardinois, Pat Doucette, Sandy Lardinois, Dave (Kaye) Lardinois, Phyllis Lardinois, and Brian Lardinois and step children Nancy (Paul) Armstrong and Alan (Debbie) Visintainer, and 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Raised on a farm in Coleman, WI, Richard brought a strong work ethic and ingenuity when he came to Milwaukee at 17. Educated at MSOE, he enlisted in the Navy and served in the Philippines during WWII. Returning to his young family, he started North Avenue Appliance Company with his brother. Hunting and fishing in Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Canada balanced long work hours. Our thanks to the Franciscan Woods Nursing Home staff for their compassionate care of Richard in the last months of his life. Richard and Jennie spent 20 years volunteering at Elmbrook Hospital. In his final act of generosity, Richard donated his body to the Medical College of Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Repair-ers of the Breach (homeless shelter in Milwaukee) or Franciscan Woods in Brookfield. Celebrate Richard's life on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at St Agnes Catholic Church, 12801 W Fairmount Ave, Butler, WI. Greetings at 4:30 PM, with Mass at 5:30 PM. Please join us for a light meal at the church after Mass. Happy hunting, Dad.
