Salvatore Spicuzza Obituary

Visit the Becker Ritter Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Brookfield website to view the full obituary.
Dr. Salvatore A. "Ted" Spicuzza, a devoted husband, respected physician, and passionate sports fan, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Scottsdale, AZ. A longtime resident of Brookfield, Ted enjoyed a life abundant in family, friendship, and faith. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, his sister, Pauline, his children, Susan (Jeff), Matthew, Stephanie (Daryl), stepchildren Kelly, James (Marianne), Kendall (Stacy), grandchildren Kevin (Courtney), Kristin (Evan), Jacob, Joshua, Kenny, Sean, Conor, Lila, Ginger, Major, and his three great grandchildren.

Born on February 18, 1936, in Milwaukee, Ted was the youngest child of Mary and John Spicuzza. He graduated from Whitefish Bay High School before continuing his education at Marquette University. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Ted proudly served as a physician in the United States Air Force, offering care to those in uniform. His commitment to healing and helping others defined not only his military service but also his accomplished medical career at St. Michael's Hospital as the Department Head of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Outside of the hospital and throughout his retirement Ted was an avid golfer who cherished time spent on courses in both Milwaukee (Bluemound Country Club) and Scottsdale (Ancala Country Club). He and his beloved wife shared passions for sports, crossword puzzles, loved gathering for family traditions and celebrations, and loved creating cherished memories throughout their travels.

Though he made his winter home in Arizona for 30 years, Ted's heart always remained in Wisconsin. He was a devoted fan of all Wisconsin sports teams, loyally cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.

His steadfast faith guided him, and we take comfort in knowing he is at peace.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Becker Ritter Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 12 p.m. at St. Mary's Visitation Parish, with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Federation of the Blind, a cause that was meaningful to Ted. (nfb.org/donate or call 410-659-9314 ext 2430)
