Thomas Trecker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Inc. - Brookfield on Mar. 18, 2026.
Thomas Trecker, age 90, of Brookfield, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026. Thomas was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Edgar and Katherine Trecker. He and Susan, his wife of 64 years, share three children Ted, Andy (Vicki), and Kati (Kurt), and grandchildren Nathan and Hannah.

He was a graduate of Marquette University earning a degree in Accounting and Finance. Later earning a MBA degree from the University of Chicago. Thomas dedicated most of his career in Business Administration and Human Resources at Kearney & Trecker. At the same time Thomas served in the United States Army Reserves for 28 years retiring as Lieutenant Colonel and Commanding Officer. Thomas served his community in Brookfield as a alderman for 13 years. He was an adjunct Professor of Management at Alverno College.

Thomas was an avid and loyal sports fan of Marquette Golden Eagles, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers, and professional golf. But the Green Bay Packers was his ultimate passion in sports. Holding season tickets since the 1950s. He would share stories with anyone who would listen about attending the Ice Bowl with his older brother Edgar. He loved to share his season tickets with newcomers to Lambeau Field.

Thomas will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and love of nature and animals. He was a St. Francis at heart as evident in his supporter of the humane societies and homeless shelters, guide dogs for the blind, and his church and various faith services.

Thomas will be remembered for his unwavering love and support for his family and faith and will be deeply missed by all who knew him and the many lives he touched.

The family will hold a private service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made in Thomas's memory to the Wisconsin Humane Society.
