William Aldy Keene

William Aldy Keene of Indianapolis passed away surrounded by his family on March 2, 2026. He was born in Havre de Grace, MD on October 1, 1953, to Aldy and Jacqueline (Yates) Keene. A lifelong academic, he took great pride in being an alumnus of The Ohio State University, where he lived in the Stadium Scholarship Dormitory under the 'Shoe. He attained his A.B.D. in Economics from The University of Chicago before teaching at Purdue University. In 1997, he founded the Loyalty Research Center, partnering with companies around the world to help manage customer relationships using his proprietary analytics. Aldy was also a voracious reader, tennis player, and chess strategist in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife, Natinne Keene; daughter, Jacqueline Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Alexander Keene and Ally Amenta; son, William Aldy Keene, Jr. (AJ); grandchildren, Nolan and Carmen Davis; and dogs, Oliver and Tux. Aldy is preceded in death by his father and on the same day nine years previous by his mother.

A celebration of Aldy's extraordinary life will be held at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care in Zionsville, IN on March 20, 2026, from 4-6 p.m.
