William Brad Dunbar, 48, of Sheridan, Indiana, passed away on Sunday March 15, 2026 surrounded by close family. Brad was a devoted husband, loving father, son, brother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was his family.
Brad married his high school sweetheart, Wendy, and together they shared over 30 years of love and memories. Alex, their amazing son is almost 16.
Brad was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and professional wrestling. Brad enjoyed collecting wrestling figures, sports cards, Funko Pops, and IndyCar memorabilia. In quieter moments, he could often be found watching his favorite shows, Matlock and Monk, or simply spending time with the people he loved most. Brad worked at Porter Engineering for over 20 years. For the last few years, Brad worked for Westfield Schools as a bus aide and enjoyed working with the kids.
Brad was a 1995 graduate of Sheridan High School and went on to obtain his Associate’s Degree from Marion University.
Brad is survived by his wife, Wendy Dunbar; his son, Alex Dunbar; his father, Douglas Dunbar (wife Tina); his mother, Diana Susong (John Lummis); his older brother, DJ Dunbar; his younger brother, Brandon Dunbar (wife Lauren); and many cherished nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss his presence deeply.
Brad was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Alfred Endsley, paternal grandmother Mary Lou Stein, and paternal grandfather William “Bill” Dunbar.
Brad will be remembered for his loyalty, his love of family, and the simple joys that brought him happiness. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral arrangements are set for March 23, 2026. Visitation is from 2-4pm and a service will follow at 4:00pm. Indiana Funeral Care at 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
