I will alway miss him, always love him. I keep that laminated photo of him in my desk drawer - there is nothing like that smile to make me smile when I open that drawer.

Dear Wendy, My belated condolences, while trading emails with Jim Stearns concerning the 50th reunion he told me of Dave's passing. I showed my wife the last picture I have of him and said he was our class diplomatic gent that fit in with any crowd. The last time I spoke to the two of you was in the WFB Assembly Hall at the 40th... I hope to see you at the 50th. Sincerely, Jim
PS I am sure Dave is driving heavens highways in that black 62 Impala.

There was no one in the world,I believe, that did not just absolutely love David. He dated my sister Susie, way back when, and spent some time out in Belgium at the lake with us. He charmed my dad right out of a pair of Allen-Edmonds shoes. He was so incredibly polite. My mom Mary Ann and I thought he was just the bee's Knees. He always had a way of making everyone else feel like they were so special. Our thoughts go out to you at such a tragic loss. We are so lucky to have known him. Betsy Allen (cousin of Laura)

(I wrote on this earlier this week but I don't see it here) Wendy, my shock and sadness to learn of sweet David's death and your immeasurable loss has stayed with me all week. Dave and I only shared one class together in high school (Art) but for some reason we just hit it off. SO many heartfelt laughs and deep discussions. He was a sweet, kind, funny and loving person. My sincere condolences and know that I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Love to all of you. Debbie Simon Konkol

Dear Wendy. I am so sorry. I just found out last night from my daughter. If I had known I would have been there. It doesn't seem possible or make any sense. David lived life full of zest and humor. I am so saddened Wendy. Your family is in my prayers. Jane

Dave Eiring is forever in my heart. I fell "in love" with him when I was a little girl living nearby on Santa Monica in the Cradles. Even as a kid, I knew that he was kind and generous. Finding him and Wendy later in life as one of my Dad's cohorts was a blessing to me. Yes, he was the man he was destined to be as stated here. Handsome and funny, smart and kind, generous and considerate, a great man and a fabulous friend. Thoughts and prayers to Wendy and the family.

There are so many memories. David always had a great smile and that full head of hair he had in high school. When did that go? He got me in so much trouble in high school. He had such a big heart. I always felt the love. I hope he felt it right back. Wendy, Ryan, Hilary, be comforted with all the good memories and all the good friends. My love and thoughts and prayers are with you.
