Tom and Joan:
I am very sorry for your loss. I know the past few years were difficult, but you both took care of Clarice with the utmost attentiveness and patience. Clarice was a remarkable person and a wonderful friend. I will always remember the fun times we had with family and friends joining us on our Atlantic City junkets. I will also cherish our friendship that continued and grew over the years. When reflecting on Clarice's life, I am still amazed that she was such an accomplished and successful business WOMAN in an era when that was not the norm. I was also very impressed with Clarice's astonishing State Fair Champion needlework pieces, and special occasion or themed self-sewn outfits. Clarice was very proud of her lifetime accomplishments but never arrogant. The other notable trait that Clarice displayed during our numerous conversations over the years was her love for her family. Whenever given an opportunity, she would “brag” about the both of you, Jerry, Cheryl, Jason, and her great grandchildren. I will deeply miss her and am honored to have had her as a devoted friend.
