Faye Ann Tischer
May 9, 1938 - November 5, 2025
Faye Ann Tischer, age 87, passed away on November 5, 2025, surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam, on November 22, 2025, with visitation from 12 noon to 2 p.m., with a service to follow.
Faye was born to Robert and Gladys Arndt on May 9th, 1938, in Graceville, Minn., and moved to Wisconsin in 1962. On July 5, 1975, she was united in marriage to Gordon Tischer. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1982.
Faye's passion was her love of music. She played her guitar and sang in country and western bands for 25 years. After moving to Wisconsin in 1962, Faye was asked to sing and play her guitar with Lee St. Louis. Their band was known as the Lee St. Louis Trio. They were an opening band for country stars such as Buck Owens and Sonny James at concerts at the Waupun High School. Faye and the band also recorded a 45 record with her singing that was played on radio stations around the area. She also played with Lee St. Louis and the Saints and Faye and the Band of Gold. As a kid she taught herself how to yodel out in the barn while doing chores. She was known for her yodeling and people loved to listen to her yodel and sing. She also bartended for many years at The Pyramid Supper Club and the Best Western Hotel.
Faye enjoyed her summers going back to Minnesota and spending time with her family on Big Stone Lake. It was a family tradition. She always took her guitar with her because she came from a big family that enjoyed singing and that was something she looked forward to every year.
Faye is loved and will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Julie Hubbard and Laurie Krueger both of Beaver Dam; her four grandchildren, Katie Zuniga of Beaver Dam, Kali Hubbard (Carlos Loomis) of Fitchburg, Joshua Krueger and Bethany Krueger, both of Beaver Dam; and seven great-grandchildren, Gracie (Trent), Angie, Aaron (Chloe), Alex, Kynslie, Jameson and Jensen. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the loves of her life and she adored them all.
She is also survived by one brother, Murray Arndt (Debbie); two sisters-in-law, Carol Arndt and Marge Arndt; numerous nieces and nephews that were all special to her; special cousin, Sharon Pollasch; and special friend, Pat Griffin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gladys; her husband, Gordon Tischer; four brothers, Dale, Ben, Robert, and Bradley; and two sisters, Janet and Barb; and nephew, James; and niece, Brenda.
Thank you to Denise from Hospice and Kim and Bridget from Community Care for the care and support that was given to Faye and her family during the last couple of months of her life.
