Elsie Marie Noah

Elsie Marie Noah, 63, of New Tazewell, born April 29, 1952, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015. Elsie worked at Tazewell New Tazewell Primary School. She was an avid University of Tennessee football fan and she loved to read. Most of all, Elsie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Edith Stines Black; brothers, Orville and Harry Black; sisters, Jackie Black Hurst and Hattie Black Short.

She is survived by her husband, James Noah; sons, Benny Noah and Gregory (Natasha) Noah; grandchildren, Hannah Noah, Rachel Noah and Johnathan Noah; brothers, Allan Black and Charles Black; sister, Edith "Cha" Rosenacker; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9 at Fairview Cemetery in Tazewell. Ministers will be the Rev. Larry Carmen and the Rev. Allen Black. Singers will be Brenda Longworth and Cynthia Sandefur. Pallbearers will be Ronald Hurst, Rick Black, Terry Black, Audy Atkins, Clyde Atkins and Allan Sandefur.
