To all of Brian's family, I want to tell all of you the special memory I have of Shen. We were in 7th grade little league. I broke my wrist in a bad way playing 1st base that afternoon. Had my arm all wrapped up so my hand wouldn't fall down to a right angle of the rest of my arm, waited for a specialist to be flown in & put my arm back together, was hoping for a bionic arm but they said they were all out :)
Anyway long story shortened now. The next day the only one who called to check in on me was Brian. Back when we all were that young, you don't realize the significance of such an act of friendship & kindness. Over the years I recall that day here and there, telling myself I NEED to really tell him face to face how much that "simple" little moment meant to me. I won't ever be able to tell him that now, so now I want to tell his family, thank you for letting me call him a friend of mine who no matter distance & time, will ALWAYS be alive in my heart and memories. I now laugh inside thinking of his reaction to me thanking him for that phone call :)!!! I don't have to write it down. Everyone who knew him, knows what it would be!!!
This is to Shen. Hopefully they gave you your hair back in heaven :)!!!!!!!
I love you brother-man, the times and laughs we shared will always be alive in my heart & memories!!!
If anything has been misspelled, I apologize.
I'm crying writing this & I never really excelled in English grammar shenanigans.

You left us shocked and too soon. We all miss you. My favorite memory w/ Brian was when he used to call me Ramen Noodles cuz I have this super curly blonde hair which I have when we see each other. Lol those memories will be stuck in my memory. KEEP THOSE DRAGONFLIES FLYING! I've had different times that flew and I knew it was him. ( First one was few days after the funeral and flew for about half hour, it made me smile. ) yes for that longest time same spot in circle. Please watch over Cheri and your kids. You will not be forgotten til we meet so rest in peace. Hugs Anna

We were so sorry to hear of Brian passing too soon. He was loved by all who knew him. He used to share an apt with my husband years ago (1990's) in Madison. He was such a sound sleeper my husband had to pound on the wall to wake him. He would not wake up from a blaring alarm clock. Thoughts and prayers to all him friends and family!
Until we meet again.

Brian and I shared almost a 40 year friendship and he never let distance get in the way. I always knew he would call every 3 months and we would talk for at least an hour and during that hour he would tease me relentlessly just like we were kids. :o) He would stop at my parents house in Sun Prairie and visit with them.He would talk about his kids non stop and was so proud of them and also spoke of the love he had for Cheri....Brian, you were the most "real" and genuine person I have had the pleasure of knowing...Big hugs and prayers to your family...We will see each other again someday!!!!!

Shocked and saddened to hear about Brian. He was a great guy, growing up I looked up to him, he let a young college freshman punk like myself hang out with him his last year in college @ Oshkosh and then passed on 812 Vine (his Oshkosh college house) to me. Always enjoyed seeing and catching up w/ Brian at family get togethers/functions. Great person and father, truly was proud and loved his family/kids. So sorry for your loss.
RIP Brian.

I am saddened by this loss. I worked with Brian at Covance for many years when he was Manager of the Chemistry Dept. We took some business trips to the Wash DC area and had a great time. He was truly one of the nicest, kindest guys I have ever known. Dixie Bushee

I have known Brian since High School and what a great guy. Even though we were from different cities growing up. we became good friends. He would come visit me when I went to Oshkosh and we hung out when he went there. Even though we hadn't seen each other in years, we would call each other to catch up and say HI. I just talked to you about a month ago and now I will not get the chance to hang out again. Breaks my heart for your kids, your family and for Cheri! You are a great person Brian Scheonike and you will forever be missed! We will see each other on the other side one day! RIP my friend!

We met Brian many years ago when he would come to Independence deer hunting. So many memories of the great times we had. He will be missed by everyone he met. Our deepest sympathies to all.

Bonnie and Darlene,
I am so sorry. You both are in my thoughts and prayers. It sure makes you think about not "sweating the small stuff" and enjoying/cherish the ones we love. I look forward to seeing you gals soon.

Warmest Regards,
Kathy
