Hey Chris! I didnt know I could write about you until it was mentioned today.Sorry I was late.. Its funny how certain songs hold reminders of the past. Today I heard that special song that reminded me of you.Coaching you, Matt, and Justin were the best coaching times I have ever had. You three were such good friends and watching you compete against each other was something I will never forget. You never came to be at practice without a smile. You loved track and it showed. We will never forget that smile and natural God given ability you had so much of.Last year at the state track meet Deb and I walked over and saw your beautiful bench. We were sure you were watching.. In Heaven when we all get there maybe we can have another track meet ...wont that be neat..thanks Chris coach

It is never going to be easy to lose someone, even if you didn't know them. Just the inpact that it had on all the other people at school and in the community made it hard for me. I can still see how hard it is on the people at school and for is brother. Chris was a wonderful student and athlete that no one is going to forget even if they wanted to.
Someday we are all going to be reunited with him and all of the other wonderful people that we have lost the last couple of years.

HEY PHIF~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t has been a year since the day our Heavenly Father took you home. Our lives are changing and we are moving forward, but our hearts still long for you to be with us and we still sometimes question why He chose this time. I take comfort in the verse Romans 8:28 which says "for we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him and are called according to his purpose." And although I can't always see the good in you not being here with us, I trust that He is God, and that this is all a part of his magnificent plan for our lives. Chris, you came into my life for a reason, and now you have left my life for a reason. Though my heart longs for you, I know that soon I will be with you again in the glory of Heaven. Even after a year, we still sometimes wonder just what God was thinking when He called your name last August 21st. All we can do is lean into the fact that God always has and always will know better than we do. That's why we call him God. But sometimes even that doesn't keep us from missing you, nor does it keep our hearts from aching when we think of you. We have no doubt that you are even happier now than you ever were here on earth. For that reason, when we think of you, we'll try to smile, as we're sure you are smiling now. Its hard to believe its been a year since the Lord took you away. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and wish you were here today. You were a blessing to everyone you knew and I know you are watching over all of us from Heaven. Missing you and loving you always.

As the entries in this book become fewer and farther between, we all now that doesn't mean you are thought of any less often. You are greatly missed, and while God can bring healing to the broken hearts of all who knew you in such a short time, I don't think the hole will ever be completely filled. How can anyone forget such a wonderful person? You had a way with so many, and all of us will hold you in our hearts forever.

You probably wouldn't remember me, but we attended the same church many years ago. I have reviewed this guest book several times and have been so impressed with what your son meant to everyone he came in contact with. You must be so proud of him and what he stood for. Although I only met Chris a few times, he was always so bubbly and very welcoming- with such an infectious smile.
I have so many memories of my year in Kansas and I wont ever forget the people I met. Chris had so many friends and that is a real testament to him.

I only knew Chris from the photos I saw of him and his friends. I feel the pain and unsettled emotions expressed here in the guest book. I am grateful for this opportunity to express to you, Chirs's friends, that "you all" are being prayed for. I will always remember Chris for his wonderful attitude towards life. I had the privledge to know Chris when he threw discus at CHS. My brother and Chris were teammates and competitors. Our family will always remember him as a part of the experience with Chris, Matt and Justin. At the memorial yesterday we saw Matt and Justin together and were just waiting for Chris to come around and join them.
I will always remember the last time I saw Chris. He stopped by the track field to pick up Bailey and we got the opportunity to catch up and even throw a little. Chris would have been great at whatever he wanted to do. We will truly miss him. God Bless Chris, his family and friends.

There aren't enough words to describe the man that Chris was. He truely was an inspiration to me and many other people. I was fortunate enough to spend one track season with him at BCCC. I wish there would have been more time to make the lasting memories that I have of him now. He was so loving to each and every person he encountered. His smile could lighten up anyone's mood. I can not express in words my heartfelt grief I felt in hearing the news of this. I can only imagine how his family must feel with this great loss. Please know that Chris touched alot of people in a very positive way, and he will be missed terribly. I'm writing this as I make me way to his funeral and I still can't believe he is gone. I last saw Chris celebrating a birthday with family and friends at the zoo. He was a student of mine but more importantly, a friend.

We did many of the same events together in track at butler county comm. college. Although I didn't know Chris personally I was shocked to here of his untimely departure from this earth.
My son and daughter, Justin and Amy Wilson were just a year behind Chris at CHS. Justin played JV basketball with Chris as well as being on the track team.
You think that after they graduate from high school that you've made it over those worring years of high school parties and life altering athletic injuries and so on but I guess the real truth is that you just never are.
As a mother I can only imagine your pain. I know that no words can ease your pain but please know that Chris was well liked by his peers and admired by the many parents who watched him participate in sports.
I remember being at an out of town basketball game and was amazed at the support his family showed for him. There was no room for dought in the crowd of CHS fans who that young man belonged to when he made one of his great moves during a game.
God Bless all of you and remember as long as Chris's memories are with you he will live on.

I had the pleasure of meeting Chris when he dated my daughter at BUCCC. He was talented, kind and a true gentleman. I very much enjoyed the time we spent getting to know him. I remember most how his face lit up when he spoke of his mother, his brother or his church. We will never forget him.

Chris's family and Pattons.....my heart sank when I heard last week of your loss and all of our losses. He of course, will be greatly remembered at Circle as one of the best athletes who walked through those halls. He left his mark on the community in his short life. Chris was such a big part of Kyrie's success in the long jump as he helped her at many of her track meets....she will always remember his willingness to help her succeed also.
Chris will be greatly missed and our thoughts and prayers go out to anyone whose life was touched just by knowing him.
