Memories and Condolences
for Steven Oaks

Sending my love and condolences. For most of my life, I had one person who I could trust completely. One person who I knew would always know what to do, and would always do the right thing. When he passed away, I was comforted by the fact that Steve was there. I could trust him as completely as I could trust my father, which really says and means something.
Steve was a most amazing man. So kind and funny and warm. I'll miss his sparkle and humor.

On-behalf of the 2016 KPMG Women's PGA Championship Team, please accept our heart-filled condolences on the loss of Mr. Oaks.
We cherish our time spent with Steve and are thankful for the warm embrace he orchestrated for us at Sahalee. He was a great leader, philanthropist and friend.
His passion and friendship was fully seen at our final Executive Committee Meeting during Steve's toast. He fought back a few tears as he realized the double-wide in the South Lot would soon be removed and his new friends were departing. We are thankful for the memories and friendship with Steve and the entire Sahalee Family.
Please, pass along our sympathy, thoughts and prays with Christine, the Oaks Family and our friends at Sahalee.

On behalf of the entire membership and staff at Sahalee Country Club, we extend our most sincere sympathy and heartfelt thoughts of comfort and peace to the Oaks Family.
Sahalee CC has been greatly blessed having Steve as a member of the Sahalee family. His true friendship and endless kindness will be securely engraved in our memories.
His dedicated service and contributions to Sahalee as the President of the Club in 2015 and the Chairman of the 2016 Women's PGA Championship will be etched in the history books of the club.
We will all miss Steve Oaks.

THINKING BACK ON STEVE'S INITIATION INTO THE STEIDLER FAMILY, HE MUST HAVE THOUGHT CHRIS'S AUNTS WERE ALL CRAZY. WELL AT LEAST TWO OF US! I KNEW THAT NIGHT THAT CHRIS HAD FOUND HERSELF A MAN WHO LOVED LIFE AND KNEW HOW TO LIVE IT. WHAT A CHARISMATIC YOUNG MAN HE WAS. HE WILL BE MISSED BY ANYONE WHO KNEW AND LOVED HIM. My condolences to the Oaks family. Steve's warmth, humor, wit and kindness was truly a gift to the world. I relied on his brilliance and advice on a regular basis and will certainly miss him. Although I never had the privilege to meet his family, I knew his family from the proud stories he would share. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.

Grant and I had just barely met Steve, but immediately loved his infectious laugh and great sense of humor, and trusted him completely. We are deeply saddened by his passing, and send our condolences and prayers of strength and love to his family.

My condolences and prayers are with the Oaks family. I am so sorry for your terrible loss. Although I did not know Steve for very long, he was one of my all time favorite people. He lit up any room with his humor, warmth and laugh. When I needed a financial advisor, my aunt Susan told me she would trust him with her life. That is Steve Oaks - the person you trust with your life. He will be missed by so many.

I will never forget meeting Steve for the first time. He always had great stories (my favorite was that he was a kicker for the Dallas Cowboys), a huge smile, and an infectious laugh.
