Back in 1979, Frank was the first person I ever corresponded with on genealogy who was related to me. His joy and enthusiasm about family history was so contagious as together we explored our family's history. His research was thorough and academic and he set a standard that I hope to achieve. Everything I admire in him, I am sure was displayed in all aspects of his life. He will be so missed.

I had the privileged to know Frank and can only imagine your loss. As President of Sisterhood and having the honor to sit on the Temple's Board, I read and reread Frank's book. I gave his book as gifts to my dearest friends. His outstanding bus trips through KC Jewish history and the synagogues of KC were very special. As I entered the Temple, I always looked for Frank. I am sure he left his imprint on many in many many ways. May your grief lessen with each and every memory of Frank. With all of our condolences, Barbara and Scott Hecht
