I did not know Robert Haas, but I knew his art. I have cherished the beautiful angel cards he created for many years. I too, (as another Writer here did) tried to find more of these cards to actually give away. I found that through the years, I was reluctant to part with the last 3 cards in my possession as it meant that I would no longer be able to look at them myself if I did so. It was only upon my search for replacements that I discovered that this beautifully gifted man had passed away. It is a great loss to many, including strangers whose lives he touched with his lovely work. I am sorry he is gone.
May his memory be a blessing.
May his memory be eternal.

So many things have changed since you passed away, but I can still see you in my heart. You were a person I'll always remember who shared a friendship I'll always treasure. R.I.P.

I have only recently discovered Bobs passing and this memorial page. I have two, of what I think was a series of three Hallmark Cards of the Archangels: Michael, Raphael and Gabriel. I was searching for replacements, but came up empty. But I wanted to express my gratitude to Bob. I have had these cards since the 80s. His beautiful depictions touched my heart then and still do. I treasure them. RIP in the arms of the Angels

A year without Robert my favorite Bob-O -Link. I think of him when I discover a new work by Mucha and he is not there to discuss it. When I retired and moved back to Kansas City I found out he was ill and his family had taken him back east. I was unable to contact him and let him know how much his friendship meant to me. I find it meant more now with his passing than I realized at the time. I take joy in that friendship and sorrow that he can no longer come out to play.

I can't believe that it is already a year since Bob passed away. I think of him often and though I miss him; I'm comforted knowing that he is at peace. Creating beauty was what his artwork was all about and his interests in the artist, Mucha and Rose O'Neill also reflected this ideal. He also knew the beauty of his friendships and I know he cherished all of them.

I did not know R.H. had died till now -- months after the end of his Earthly life. I am shrouded in sorrow. I knew him through links to all-things-Rose O'Neill and Hallmark - (where once I had been offered a position.) His art style (in Hallmark products) was my favorite for years. Oh how I would swoon at the glorious card displays at Christmas time that spotlighted his talent. Annually, I would find his designs so moving, I would have tears streaking down my face at the flowing lines, wonderful faces, etc...; I am not the least bit ashamed to reveal my standing in the card shop, clutching his marvelous Angel artwork to my heart and swooning at their beauty. R.H. was such a talent -- and now, he has gone to 'where the angels learn to fly...' My condolences to all who held Robert Haas / and his works, dear.

Bob was the Clark Cable or was it Vivien Leigh of the old MGM version of Hallmark? He loved "Gone with the Wind" as I remember with amusement. An Oscar winner Artist time and time again for Hallmark a great guy!...gone to soon.

I enjoyed design collaborations with Robert Haas and a friendship that developed from shared interests. Bob was blessed with wonderful creative talents. He enhanced those talents with a fine intellect, great sense of humor, sound judgment and fairness in dealing with others. He was an outstanding contributor to the Hallmark creative community and his artwork has enriched the lives of countless Hallmark customers.

I am truly fortunate to have known Bob. He taught me more about Kewpie dolls, Alphonse Mucha and the art of Angels than I knew was possible. He once gave me one of his personally hand drawn Angels for Christmas which will be forever precious to me. He was a creative genius, but above all... he was a good man. My most sincere condolences go out to his family.

What an amazing talent man Bob was. He was such a joy to work with, I loved talking with him and the stories he told. A true gifted man...we will all miss him. He is now with all the angels that he designed and his angels will have so much more meaning to me especially at the Christmas season! Thank you Bob for giving so much to us all! ~~Tina

Bob and I were fellow obsessive fans of Alphonse Mucha and swapped many stories of visits to Prague and Mucha's obscure work. We had dinner and drinks when I would make it to Kansas City occasionally where we also shared some connections to Hallmark. Fellow "Mucha Nuts" as he called us. He was knowledgeable, generous, kind and fun to be with. I will miss him.

Bob's stories are the reason we went to Prague. Loved it. Loved him. He will surely be missed.

Bob was by my side for over 30 years and there aren't words that can say how much I will miss that. I promised him that I would never forget him and I will keep that promise. His family has my deepest condolences and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11 assured us that God is thinking thoughts of peace toward us, to give us a future and a hope. May this bring comfort to you at this difficult time.

I had the privilege of working with Robert at Hallmark. He had an amazing talent and a good heart. He is leaving this world better for having been here. I hope all the wonderful memories ease the pain of loss for all who loved him.
