Nancy Barron Obituary
Athens
Nancy Elaine Barron, 82, of Athens, passed away Sunday.
She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Roberts and Sandy Whorton and husband, Jerry; son, Billy Barron and wife, Candy; two sisters, Delores Herbert and husband, Bud, and Peggy Smith; six grandchildren, Brandy, Mark, Andy, Stacy, Austin and Patrick; and five great-grandchildren, Megan, Danielle, Allie, Blake and Andrew.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by an 11 a.m. chapel service Thursday with Brian Murphry officiating. Interment will follow in Twickenham Cemetery.

My husband and I are greeters in the section where Mrs. Nancy sat each Sunday. I enjoyed talking to her and watching how she loved seeing everyone at church. She will be greatly missed! carol & ron boyd

We are so glad to have known, if only for a short time, your precious Nancy. She always had a smile and time to chat with even the youngest of our family. She will be missed greatly. We love your precious family and will be praying for you. May God bless you and give you peace and strength during these days.

Bill and Candy and Barron Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the passing of Mrs Nancy. We loved her at CBC, getting to know her in our Young At Heart ministry was a blessing. She laughed and was a joy to be around. She was very giving person, one night we played bingo at YAH and had prizes to which she had donated some of her wonderful jewelry. I so wanted to choose for my win some of it, but could not as I am allergic to metal, in talking to Mrs Nancy I told her how wonderful her jewelry was, on that Sunday, as I had stopped by the Senior Adult Class as I often do, she called me over and give to me a necklace she had made just for me, with only beads so I could wear. I was so blessed and cherish the necklace. She was a blessing, and she is greatly missed at CBC. We love yall.
