Mary L Barron, affectionately known as Nanny to her 3 great-grandchildren, Grandma to her 10 grandchildren, and Aunt Lou by her many nieces and nephews, passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on January 25, 1932, in New York City, Mary was a courageous woman with a loving and supportive spirit who touched the lives of many. Her dedication to her family, friends, and community was unwavering, a trait that was deeply admired by all who knew her.

Mary was a beacon of warmth and strength in her family. Her marriage to Thomas Barron on August 30, 1952, saw the beginning of a home filled with love and laughter. Mary was a dedicated homemaker, a wonderful cook, and had an incredible talent for sewing and crafts. Her passion for these activities extended to her love for gardening and playing bridge with her friends. Her dedication was not only limited to her home and hobbies, but also to her community. She was very active in her church and helped with numerous activities there, demonstrating her commitment to service.

Mary's life journey took her from New York City to New Jersey and finally to Leominster, Massachusetts. Throughout her life, Mary’s unwavering love for her family was evident. She is survived by her daughters Mary Mazerolle and her husband Joseph, Carol West and her husband Jimmy, Debra Fyvie and her husband Mark, and her son, Thomas Barron and his wife Kara. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Barron, and her parents, David and Frances Twomey. We will all miss her dearly and remember her for the remarkable woman that she was.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.

The family will be receiving family and friends for a visitation on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, MA.
