Cheryl, Don and family, I pray you feel God's comfort in coping with such a great loss. Judy was my guitar buddy starting in 7th grade when we formed our singing group that lasted throughout our time at South High School. Don, Judy adored and idolized you. I enjoyed seeing her when 19th Amendment played at Maryville College, and when we had our fun high school friends' reunion just a few years ago. Cheryl, my heart goes out to you. Judy was a bright light in this world and continues to shine through us and in her new peace-filled existence. Peace and love to you.

Cheryl, Jim and I were very shocked and saddened to hear the news of Judys,' passing. Words fail me now and all I know is that she will be missed by so many people. We didn't tknow her long, but will always have such fond memories of the time we did share in a very special place. Sending peace and love to you during this time when you feel that your heart will never stop aching. She, who was so loved by so many will never be alone. Love, Jim, Vicki, and Ozzie

"19th Amendment"
These women rocked! Judy was a member of this all girl band. Not only were they a voice to be heard but they were a force that drove us all to be better women, to make better choices, and never give up. I was a 9 year old little girl that couldn't wait for them to practice. Each one offered something different yet they forged a friendship that would last a lifetime. As I read the entries, it seems as if Judy continued to influence others. What a wonderful legacy to leave behind. Thank you for being a part of our lives and leaving us with so many special memories.

We are so brokenhearted over Judy's sudden passing. The Lord must have been short of one incredible person. We fell in love with Judy and Cheryl at their favorite RV park, Sugar Sands. We enjoyed kayaking and sitting around the fire pit for long chats. We will forever miss Judy as she was one of those rare loving, kind and gentle people.

I was Judy's friend and fellow teacher.
I watched her for many years in all kinds of situations and time after time I wished I was more like her. She always smiled at everyone with the kindest eyes I've ever seen. She had more patience than any other person I've known, too. She was also very, very smart. A computer "whiz" that never made any of us feel inadequate when we didn't understand a concept. I am so saddened at Judy's passing and will honor her sweet memory for the rest of my life. My prayers are with us all. Barbara Hutto

I just received the sad news of Ms. Solomon's death. I am a former third grade student of hers, now living in New Mexico. I grew up to become a third grade teacher due in part to her wonderful teaching example. Thankfully, I had the opportunity to see her about six years ago and tell her how much I appreciated her. I am so sorry for your loss. She was one of my favorite teachers...always will have fond memories of my third grade year.

I taught with Judy at SDMS for 9 years and so admired her kindness with all students in her classes. She had many talents. I'll never forget when we were studying the Central American jungle, she turned her classroom into a jungle with murals on the walls and paper plants hanging from the ceiling. There was a jungle in there! She did the same with real plants in her own back yard.
Judy believed every life was special. She was pretty special herself.

Don and family,
We want to express our deepest sympathy to all of you. We were so sorry to hear that Judy had passed away. We grew up with her in Sevier Heights Baptist Church, South Knoxville Elementary School, and South High School. Jack and I were in the South High Band with Judy and remember her playing playing the Xylophone, bells, and percussion in the band. She always had a winning smile! We are so sorry for your loss of your sweet sister way too early in life! Prayers to you and your family.
