ANGOLA - Robert Daniel "Bob" Boyster, age 72, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025.
He was born on Sept. 8, 1953, son of the late Howard and Beatrice (Fry) Boyster.
Bob was United States Army veteran, and served in Vietnam.
Bob married Lois Roberts on May 8, 1998, in Hoagland, Indiana.
He was roofer for 32 years, and retired from Schrieber Roofing in Detroit, Michigan.
Bob loved to fish, traveling, and used to enjoy riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Boyster, of Fremont, Indiana; children, Rob (Karen) Lake, of Potosi, Missouri, Stephen Boyster, of Arnold, Missouri, Chassity (Tim) Fricke, of Festus, Missouri, Stephanie (Dave) Buehler, of Arnold, Missouri, Holly Boyster, of Arnold, Missouri, and Amy (Greg) Ackerman, of Arnold, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Hord, of Granite City, Illinois.
He was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Kathy Boyster; a brother, Paul Boyster; a sister, Doreen Boyster; and a stepson, Andrew Moreno.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at Beams Funeral Home.
Evangelist Stephen B. Altman will officiate the service.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana, with Military Honors.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed to Christ Church at Lake Gage or Steuben County Cancer Association.
