David Burris Obituary

David Michael Burris, 61, died on January 5th 2013 at Yakima Regional Medical Center in Yakima, WA. He was born April 30th 1951 in Seattle Washington to Robert Burris and Mazie Burris. He has been a resident of Kittitas County for almost 30 years. Dave worked as a cook at the Matterhorn until just a few years ago. He also drove truck and built fences here in Ellensburg and on the West coast. He liked to read, fish, listen to music, and be with his family. He was an active reader of the Bible. He is survived by his wife Cindy-Lei Burris, his brother Dan Burris, his sisters, Susan Burris and Cheryl Burris. His children Vanessa Burris, Jonathan Burris, Tabitha Burris, Seannan Burris, Brian Parker, Heidi Fair, Joseph Edwards, Jonathan Zacharias, Jennifer Heston, David Castro, Amber Burris, and Zachary Burris. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Burris, his mother Mazie Burris, his sister Sheila Burris, his sons Anthony and Robert Burris II, his mother-in-law Samuella Beagle and father-in-law Thedore Neil. Visitation will be held on January 17th at Brookside Funeral Home, 101 E. 2ndAve. from 9a.m.-5p.m., and again at 11:30 a.m. on January 18th at the Foursquare Church, 906 E. Mountain View followed by a Funeral Service at Noon. Burial will take place at High Valley Cemetery. Donations can be payable to Cindy-Lei Burris in care of Bank of the West 312 N Ruby Ellensburg, WA 98926 www.giveforward.com/davidburris. Brookside Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
