I was a caregiver for Mr. Emery and have often thought about him and how he was doing. Sad to hear of his death. My condolences to the family.

A Scoutmaster needs the friendship of his fellow scouters too. Thank you Tom for being a friend. We shared many scouting activities, whether it was camp at Mataguay or an Eagle Dinner, we took time to share our experiences with each other. Our Lord's peace to you my scouting brother. I'll miss you.

I'll never forget the original bedtime stories, the animal pancakes, how we did acrobatic stunts together as a child.
After high school you woke the household up in the morning with John Sousa's marching band music and that cheerful "good morning"
You overcame much, and accomplished so much! I am so proud of you..and forever happy, that I know you are in heaven, and I know I will see you again.
I love you Pop!

Mr Emery was the ultimate Scout Master; firm and caring at the same time. I owe much of the success I have had in life to him. I am proud to be one of his Eagles. It is time for you to soar my friend!

Like so many of the boys who were in Tom's Boy Scout troop, I became a better man and a better father because of Tom's unique way of teaching and preparing us for life beyond scouting. I'm proud and very lucky to have had him in my life. Goodbye Mr. Emery, thank you for all you've done for me and so many others. Bob Serrano (Ramona, CA)

Mr. Emery was an important person in my life. He was my Troop 610 Scoutmaster in the late 1970's. He is the reason why I have a love of the outdoors. He lead many scouts on backpack trips in the local Deserts and the Sierra Nevada Mts. I have wonderful memories of summer camp at Mataguay Scout Reservation, we would camp for a week and have to cook, clean and take care of ourselves. Mr Emery at the time had more than 60 kids under his charge and he excelled at keeping us in line as well as teaching us how to become men.
Mr. Emery is a true Hero to me and many others. God Bless you Mr. Emery!!
