Leda Mae (Visintine) Emery, 90, died on Saturday, January 24, 2026 in Columbus, Ohio.
Born on February 12, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri, she was a 1953 graduate of St. Mary of the Springs High School and attended The Ohio State University. Beginning her career as a model, Leda transitioned to many years working at Custom Coach Corporation designing and selling motorhomes to notable celebrities such as Dolly Parton, Evel Knievel, and Robert Redford. Her unique design aesthetic and attention to detail were seen in her home and personal style as well. Leda was a classy woman, but she knew how to cut loose and was often the one leading others in laughter and fun. From neighborhood parties with the Sycamore Hills crowd, to trips to Northport, MI, to watching OSU football games at her favorite bar, she was always the one with the biggest smile and most mischievous plans. She is fondly remembered through good stories and laughter.
Leda was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Ailene Visintine, and sister and brother-in-law Mary Ailene and Vince Melaragno. She is survived by life partner Jim Holland, daughter Molly Emery, son Bret Emery, granddaughters Kaitlyn (Timothy) German, and Lexi Emery, and great-granddaughters Tanner and Piper German.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 3 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a brief memorial service. Shaw-Davis Funeral Home, 4341 N High Street, Columbus 43214 (614-262-2600). Private interment at a later date.
