James Doss Obituary
Danny Doss was a long time resident of Los Alamos, retiring in 1999 from a career as an electrical engineer with the Los Alamos National Laboratory where he worked on a variety of projects, including particle accelerators and biomedical technology used in cancer therapy. Many others knew Danny Doss as the author of 17 "Charlie Moon Mysteries", the first of which was published in 1994, and the last of which was completed shortly before his death.
Danny Doss, beloved husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather, is survived by his wife, Martha; son, Bret and his wife Taffy; son, Kirk and his wife Colette; and grandchildren: Summer, Bry, Moriah, Walker, Savannah, and Nathan.
Services will be held at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church in Los Alamos on May 24, 2012 starting at 3:30PM, with a reception immediately following the service. I was Danny's copyeditor on the Charlie Moon series and I will miss his wry humor and the excellent characters he created.
He was truly a gentleman and I will miss him and his writing.

I knew him only as a gifted writer. I was in the process of reading the entire Charlie Moon series when I heard of his passing. Aunt Daisy is mourning along with the rest of his readers. Condolences to his family and friends.

Danny was a wonderful man and his gifts of each mystery he wrote will continue to delight and entertain many for years to come. His kindness, wit and humor live on through his books.
