Edward Adolph Helin, 81, of Los Angeles, California passed away October 7, 2011.
He was born in Arbuckle, California on May 7, 1930 to Adolph Gustav Helin and Carlie Johnson. He was married to Lorayne Helin on July 2, 1965.
Ed is best remembered by his many friends as an astrologer and teacher, someone who helped and taught countless people over the last 60 years. He was also a Sergeant in the US Army, owned his own "TV Repair Business To The Stars," and was even a Knight in the Order of St. Stanislaus. Ed was a true Taurus - smart, reliable, friendly, practical and, to everyone that knew him, incredibly funny. A true family man, he loved and supported his family through all of their many adventures.
Ed is survived by his wife Lorayne Helin; and four children Vicki Reitz, Teri Helin, Kurt Helin and Loran Helin. He also has five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Sat. Oct. 15th at St. Joseph The Worker Church in Winnetka, CA.

I will truly miss Uncle Ed, He was so sweet and thoughtful of others, I am so Happy to have had him in my life, uncle Ed and his family showed me what a family should be like, for that I will always be greatful. My Love thoughts and prayers are with the Helin Family. I Love you all Sandy

I have fond memories of Uncle Ed, always with a smile and full of stories and entertainment. He was a delight to be around. I wish the years would have allowed me to see him more. I know he will be missed by his sole mate and life partner Aunt Lorayne, and my heart aches for his children and other family members who will miss him daily.
