Angela Wong Obituary
February 7, 1947 - July 12, 2015 Angela Ma Wong was born on February 7, 1947 in Nanjing, China. She was a 26 year survivor of breast cancer. On July 12, 2015, the Lord took her home and she is at peace in a better place. Angela was a teacher, writer, publisher, intercultural consultant, Feng Shui expert and entrepreneur. She was an active member of the Rotary Club for over 20 years, co-founder and past president of the Chinese Historical Society of Southern California and Volunteer at the Banning Museum. She was the recipient of numerous awards from the State of California and the City of Los Angeles for humanitarian and outstanding service to communities. Most recently, she was presented the Hall of Fame 2014-2015 award by Rotary's District 5280, Los Angeles. Angi, as she was affectionately known, was passionate, energetic, articulate and spirited. Many people were inspired by her generosity, sincerity and zest for life. She is survived by her loving husband Norman, children Jason (Bill), Wendy (Javi), Jamie (Bob), Steve. She is also survived by siblings Andrew Ma, Mary and Zhen-sheng Chen, James and Dora Hsu, Nancy Tsui, Amy and Sam Wei, Dixon (d. 2011) and Eileen Hsu. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, July 25, 2015 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 132 N. Euclid Ave., Pasadena, CA, 91101. A private interment service for family members will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I once read an article Angela had written for a Femg Shui anthology that was wonderful. She and I had spoken on the telephone once or twice 3 1/2 years ago. I am back in California from New York and just discovered the sad news. I had been looking forward to meeting her. May she rest in peace.

I just found out about Angi's passing. Angi was a very special and talented woman. She did feng shui on our home and I still give her credit for making positive changes in our lives. Our condolences.

I only met Angie once and spoke to her by phone to help me with my home. She was an expert in the field of feng shui, a published author of many books, on many tv shows like Oprah. She was so generous with her time and information. Most recently she has collaborated with 7 other feng shui consultants on a series of books. She will be missed my many. She made a positive impact on so many people's lives. My condolences to her family and closest friends.

I met Angi when she was a counselor for the adult division with the Los Angeles Unified School District. She was energetic and full of enthusiasm. She contributed greatly to the student population and enlightened all of us with the Chinese customs and mores. Condolences to the family and may there be comfort in knowing that she lived life to its fullest.

Angi worked with our group, "Project Destiny" - an assemblage of national feng shui writers, to put together books on life experiences from a feng shui consultant perspective. Angi had life, cultural and feng shui experiences that gave depth to her stories. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to work with her. Project Destiny extends special blessings to Angi, and her family.

Angi was one of the select people you meet in life that you will never forget. She was delightful, happy, as well as very talented. I will read tonight one of her children's books as well as one of her books on Feng Shui and remember how lucky I was to know Angela Ma Wong.
