God bless and Godspeed Chuck; the kindness and enthusiasm he and Tucker showed those of us responsible for the Lincoln Center Library Garland exhibition in 1992 provided both an emotional high and a personal endorsement that have never been forgotten. To paraphrase Judy's description of Mickey Rooney in ANDY HARDY MEETS DEBUTANTE, Chuck was -- indeed -- "one of nature's noblemen."

My condolence to Charles' family, and especially to Tucker. I was a friend of John Carlyle's, and my deepest sympathies at Chuck's passing after this longstanding union. Chuck and Tuck's shelter of lore for Madame Gumm in the 60s demonstrated a great love for protecting a genius during tense times in West Hollywood. God Bless!
