Mitzie,
The only good poem I ever wrote
I wrote for you.
I wished you freedom.
Funny.
If you didn't have more of it then
then I ever have
You surely have it now.

Mitzie gave the world so much with her and Ken's work in television. Our culture is forever grateful. Her Emmys set standards.

I grew up next door to Mitzie and Have loved her since I can remember. she was always a role model and great friend to me. good grief, I idolized her. She was always kind, taking the time to tape my brother's and my singing, playing it back and making suggestions. In junior high school, i just about fainted when George Maharis brought her home from a shoot. I remember when she met Ken, and Aunt Rose, aunt Mary and Aunt Dude (my mom insisted we call the neighbors aunt instead of their first names) were walking on air. I remember Julie's birth, the record album they made, and Gillian's arrival. Mitzie and Ken continued to correspond with me over the years and theirs was one of my most treasured friendships. God Bless, Mitzie. You are loved.

Mitzie was a woman who embodied every aspect of intelligence, style, talent, and humor.
Her loving partnership with Ken produced wonderful and entertaining work which has been enjoyed by the entire world - and it also produced her two incredible daughters. A fitting legacy for a truly amazing woman.
She made great contributions to our world, and she will be missed. Much love to her, and to her family.
