Wallace, Melvin, Jr. ("Brent" "Gator") (41), U.S. Marine Corp. ('79-'93) and Accountant, CSUN
On March 17, a most loving and devoted husband and son passed away after a lengthy illness. Melvin was a graduate of the Woodbury University and was attending the University of Phoenix. Born in Chicago, IL and graduate of the Carver High School. Melvin married Vera Johnson in 1993. Theirs was a happy union that offered them unconditional love and many joys. They were two peas in a pod. Survived by his wife; mother and stepfather, Mattie and Joseph Grayson; father and stepmother, Melvin and Jackie Wallace, Sr.; brother, Marvin; sisters, Melvina Wallace, Melinda Wallace Harris (husband Lenzy); Tunya Grayson; grandmother Rebecca Wallace; mother and father-in-law, Ragland Brown and Rose Christmas; brother-in-law, Troy Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 24, from Noon to 5 p.m. in the Manchester Chapel at Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary, Inglewood, CA (310)412-6811. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 25, at 11:00 a.m.
