I knew Sol as a kid in Brooklyn. He was a poor tennis player but a savage competitor. Born to a holocaust survivor at Auschwitz, he weighed 1 1/2 pounds at birth. He was a friendly, portly teen until he got on a court. We all liked him and I'm sorry we lost contact when I proceded him to college. RIP pal.
