Stanley Soule Obituary

Soule, Stanley Eldon
Born November 15, 1919 in Berkeley, California to Edward Lee and Addie McCurdy Soule. Died peacefully December 31, 2002 in Lafayette, California. Survived by his devoted wife of fifty-nine years, Anne Ristenpart Soule; loving sons Sandy of Danville, Jim of Pleasanton, Alan of Sebastapol, the late Stuart Soule; daughter, Jane Collett of Lafayette; daughters-in-law Anita and Cathy; son-in-law Bill Collett; eight grandchildren, two great-grandsons; brothers Lee and Howard Soule and late sister Lucile Soule Arnon. Stan graduated from University High School in Berkeley and attended the University of California, Berkeley where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi. Former president of Soule Steel Company in San Francisco, former member of San Francisco Rotary, The Berkeley Tennis Club, Orindawood Tennis Club and Save-the-Redwoods League. Longtime resident of Berkeley, lived in Lafayette for thirty-five years. Private family services. Contributions to Save-the-Redwoods League, 114 Sansome Street, Room 1200, San Francisco, CA 91404-3823, Hospice of Contra Costa, 2051 Harrison Street, Concord, CA 94520, or a charity of your choice.
