My deceased husband and Bill worked together at ARCO with great mutual respect. We miss these wonderful men and our time with them. Although no doubt all of us remaining after their lives are moving forward with our own lives, not a day goes by when I fail to think with appreciation of Al Greenstein and our life together. I´m certain Bill´s family is doing the same because he was unforgettable and I know you will keep him in your hearts.

Barbara, Bill and I were classmates at Hellertown High School. I always admired Bill, and we participated in many activities together. So sorry for your loss.

Bill was a wonderful colleague and a generous friend. I am lucky to have known him. His conservation work is a legacy that will continue to benefit us in perpetuity. His friendship is something I will cherish always.

Bill and Gary Koval worked on ARCO's behalf in a high-profile effort to broaden the source of funds for Superfund cleanups. This effort, which stood out from the rest of industry, was featured in a 1984 Fortune Magazine article.
Rest in Peace Bill.

Bill was a trusted colleague at ARCO, so respected...including by Al Greenstein, my deceased husband, who I remember spoke so highly of Bill. My condolences to Barbara and all other members of Bill‘s family.

He was a loyal, trusted friend for 40 years. Spoke truth to power on my behalf when it could have cost him when I was going thru a rough patch.

That Bill was so accomplished is impressive. That he was so accomplished while also being so humble, disarming, and warm to others is truly extraordinary. I probably already knew that Bill attended Yale undergrad and Harvard Law but I'd never know it talking to him because he was me about me. It was effortless to enjoy his company.

We loved our uncle Bill. He always had something cool and interesting to say. We were overwhelmed by his amazing woodwork. I personally loved going on runs and walks with him, either in Pasadena, New York, Malvern or Nantucket. He is missed.

We were honored to know Bill and enjoy his zest for life. Our visits with him and Barbara were wonderful and cherished times. His legacy will benefit all who knew him and even those who did not have the good fortune to have enjoyed his presence.

When I asked my daughter why Bill was the favorite person in our very extended family, she gave her usual insightful and pithy response. " He was nice to, and interested in, every one of us in a way that made him wonderful to see." We will miss him . jz
