Douglas WALSTROM Obituary
July 17, 1913 - May 17, 2010
Douglas P. Walstrom died peacefully at the age of 96 in the presence of his wife and daughter in Los Angeles on May 17, 2010.
Born July 19, 1913, in Eveleth, MN, graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1937 with a BEE in electrical engineering, worked at NACA in WWII. Married Octavia Seawell of Virginia in 1942, moved to Southern California in 1946 and worked in the aerospace industry there until his retirement in 1978. After his retirement, was instrumental in founding the Beverly Glen Community Center.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife Octavia, daughters Nancy and Diana, son Peter, and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Beverly Glen Community Center, 10409 Scenario Ln., Los Angeles, CA, 90077, from 2:00 PM on June 5, 2010.
