Jose Rodriguez Obituary
March 29, 1975 - October 1, 2011
Jose was born in Santa Monica, CA and attended Carthay Center Elementary, Emerson Middle School and graduated from University High School, class of 1993. He attended Santa Monica College, graduated in 1997 from UCLA with Honors and with a degree in Economics. He then earned his MBA degree from the USC Marshall School of Business in 2002.
After graduation, he was employed with Farmers Insurance Group, RainBird, Casa Mortgage, AIG Insurance and most recently became established as a State Farm Insurance Agent with an office in Venice, CA.
Jose also graduated from the Sheriff's Academy as a member of Class 109 in 2007 and became a Reserve Deputy Sheriff with the County of Los Angeles, where he proudly served in the West Hollywood Station through 2011.
He is survived by his beloved wife and family, Cristina Castelo Rodriguez of Santa Barbara, CA, their two children, Diego and Delia, his mother, Emerita Rodriguez of Los Angeles, brothers Arturo (Jeannette) and Federico, sister Maria (Austin) Stubblefield, and his nephew Daniel Rodriguez.
Viewing will be conducted on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday October 6, 2011 at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks and Mortuary, 1712 Glendale Avenue in Glendale, CA. Condolences may be sent to 5670 Olympic Blvd, Apt A02, Los Angeles, CA 90036.

I can't believe it's been 9 years since your passing cousin. Seems like yesterday I would visit you and with Arturo we would go to the 7-Eleven to play arcade games and get nachos. I remember you hanging out with me while working in gardening with my dad and going to Titos Tacos for lunch. We all miss you very much and I'm sorry I never got to meet your family or be part of your life as we got older. Rest in peace primo.

Jose and I met a few years back when he first opened his State Farm office in Venice, California. I was working and living on the property as the night security and asst. property manager. We became instant friends and I also became a client. He was an amazing person and I will miss him.

I will always remember my cousin as that kid I used to play hide in seek with as children. It's been over 20 years since we last spoke as we grew apart, but he was never forgotten. I miss you primo and I'm sad I never got the chance to see you grow up to the fine man you became. My condolences to the family.
