I miss the laughs, and the lunches at that Chinese joint down the street.
Your stories still come to mind and Halloween shoplifters!

My condolences to Maurice Stein's family.
I met him in Chicago at a Cosmetic Show
in the late 1970's where he graciously agreed
to have his picture taken with me. I will
cherish it forever. I was working for Patricia Stevens Cosmetic Company in Chicago
during that time frame and asked Mr. Stein if
he could help my mother {a third degree burn
victim}. She had just gotten out of the hosp. after 32 reconstructive surgeries; and,
plastic surgery by the famous Plastic Surgeon
Maurice Cottle to look beautiful again.
Maurice Stein helped my mother with his
cosmetic artistry. Dorothy Ryan-Miller

Last night I learnd of the passing of my dear friend, mentor, and confidant while I was casually browsing thru fb. :-((
The city of Burbank has lost a legend. He was a stapel in so many ways... Maurice was the [FIRST] in the Halloween business in bringing so many smiles, and excitement to so many during the month of October.
I am very blessed to have had the opportunity of having met Maurice back in the early 90's. I will truly miss him... Maurice
believed in me as I was getting started in the business. And as far has giving me the opportunity to represent his company "Cinema Secrets" in Honolulu as his sales representative, and his makeup artist. Thank You Barbara.
My condolences to Barbara, and the Cinema Secrets Family.
R.I.P. My Dear Friend xoxo

I remember the wonderful visits Maurice and Barbara would make to Hilton Waikoloa Village for Dolphin Days events. He was a generous and remarkable man!

Maurice was such a friend to me and all burn survivors! For the past 26 years, he always assisted me with the Image Enhancement Program at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center and the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors annual World Burn Congress. Maurice attended when possible to teach estheticians and meet many survivors. We all knew Maurice truly cared. He always had time for a phone chat, a quick lunch, and a few laughs....and a big HUG.
Maurice used his gifts and talents well and well in the service of others ... his legacy is large and long and I will always hold his memory in my heart.
