Benjamin Boltz Obituary

Benjamin T. Boltz MYERSTOWN Benjamin T. Boltz, 78, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at his home. He was the husband of Jennie M. Unger Boltz, and on February 12, 2013, they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. Born in Bethel Twp., on August 18, 1934, he was the son of the late Edwin and Laura Spitler Boltz. He retired as a self-employed carpenter and was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Hamlin. Ben was also a member of the Bethel and Rehrersburg Fire Co., and for many years served as a fire police for the Frystown Fire Co. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Rodney L. and his wife, Darlene Boltz, and Randy L. Boltz, both of Myerstown; daughter, Pam S. Boltz of Myerstown; his grandson, Shane Michael Boltz; and his sister, Mabel Rudy of Fredericksburg. He was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 and Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown. No viewing but a visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Hamlin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011; or to the GSH-Hospice, 202 Hathaway Park, Lebanon, PA 17042. www.kreamerlumfh.com
