Mrs. Heckard was a great influence in my life. She introduced me to Broadway Musicals. So glad I was able to be in so many musicals that she put on when I was at Henry Houck. Rembering her fondly on her passing so many years ago.

My sincere condolences to Mrs. Heckard's family. Mrs. Heckard opened the world of music to so many of us students when we were in Junior High school. She taught us so much, inspired us, and helped us to reach deeply inside ourselves to develop our gifts, talents, and person. I treasure the memories and experiences brought to my life by Kate. I was blessed to have her as my teacher. Peace and blessings to family and friends as you enjoy your memories and celebrate her life.

Thank you Mrs. Heckard for teaching me the importance of being both an athlete and a musician; that music if more than notes on a page.

Condolences to the family of Mrs. Heckard. She was my eighth-grade music teacher at what was then Henry Houck Jr. High School. I remember we did concerts of songs from both "Oklahoma" and "The Sound of Music". She worked very hard with us students to make the program an enjoyable event for the us as well as those attending the concert. She was a "perfectionist" about her music and it showed in the performances by her students. May she rest in peace.

So sorry to read of "Kate's" passing. She was a great music teacher, a demanding but inspiring director, who helped so many students push themselves and produce great concerts and spring musicals. I thank her for getting me started on a lifelong hobby of musical accompaniment, and I think of her telling us to "Work it out!" Whenever the going got tough. She had a great impact on so many. May she rest in peace.

Mrs. Heckard was the kind of teacher one could never forget. She introduced me to Broadway Musicals and the love of the theater. I. loved participating in all her productions at Henry Houck. She was such an inspiration. I can only imagine her now singing with the Angels but they better hit the correct notes cause she has perfect pitch.

"Thank You" Mrs. Heckard for your many years of music dedication to Lebanon High School as well as Henry Houck. It wasn't always easy sitting in that choir room or on that stage, but in the end we were PROUD students who gave it all we had! May you rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers to your family in their time of loss. Carol (Henning)Wike

"Kate" One of the few people that have come into my life and left such an enormous impression. I will never forget all the encouragement you gave me when I took my classes through HACC. You were so proud it made me cry. I will always remember our many talks over dinner and those special little rides we took. And Kate, I want you to know that the hardest part of leaving that job was knowing I wouldn't be spending everyday working with you. My deepest sympathy to your boys and their families. Love you Kate!
